BETTER Serving Black Homebuyers

The work of Black Homeownership Initiative starts with understanding the challenges our network faces in increasing the number of Black homeowners in the Greater Seattle region.

From April to July 2022, Civic Commons participated in a project led by NewImpact to examine the barriers that many Black homebuyers face. The final report, embedded below, proposes tri-sector strategies for preparing more households to buy their own homes.
